Competitions are the peak of performance in any sport and all eyes and spotlights are directed there. All the individuals and stakeholders of importance in any sport are engaged, including sponsors and decision makers, so it is one of the reasons they are the most visible and most promoted events. They serve also as the platform for positive tactics in the promotion of values and for the purpose of enjoying performers of various talents in minifootball, including women, now more than ever.
After the whole year of waiting and anticipating, finally, expectations will be met, so we will witness two major events happening together in Kyiv, Ukraine: WMF WWC and U23 WC with the planned dates: 12th to 15th of August 2021, Kontraktova Square/Sky stadium.
Ms. Zorica Hofman, as Secretary General of WMF shared:
”Different genders have different societal circumstances and need for expression. WMF follows the recommendations of general gender mainstreaming in sport organizations that consists of integrating a gender equality perspective at all stages and levels of activities and governance. As the aim of gender mainstreaming is to take into account these differences when designing, implementing, and evaluating activities in order to create frameworks that benefit all genders, the WMF Executive Committee, therefore, decided to give it a go and organize WMF Women’s World Cup in 2021.
I’m certain we will see the excellent performance, great and exciting minifootball with female interpretation this year as it will boost the interest in this sport of other females of all ages which contributes to the development of minifootball as both amateur and professional sport for all.”
Good luck to all the girls and we will follow closely all the happenings in the preparation phase of the WMF WWC 2021.
